About

Hi! I'm Cathy, a full-time mother of two beautiful girls and wife of one buff husband. He will appreciate that inclusion even if nobody else does.

I'm also an author and journalist and occasionally a copywriter, a creative, an editor, a social media strategist, a content creator, and a pretty much anything else that involves words.

And I'm a housewife, an earth mother, a thinker, a sharer, a talker, a cyclist, and a fair few other things besides.

If you like my writing you'll be happy to hear I've had three books published:

Brilliant PR, published by Pearson
What To Do When You Win The Lottery published by Golden Guides Press
The Girls Guide to Life on Two Wheels published by Ryland, Peters & Small

I am represented by Isabel Atherton of Creative Authors Ltd. Please contact Isabel directly with any enquiries about my long-form published work.

Until 2011 I was employed full-time as a journalist on weekly and daily newspapers and magazines, most recently as deputy editor of PRWeek magazine.

These days I write regularly for The Telegraph, mainly the women's section, and more occasionally for a host of other publications.

I have also worked for numerous creative and media agencies and for a range of global and household-name FMCG brands and clients.

Oh, and did I mention I have children?

Chasing my Village is my personal blog. The design was created for me by the very lovely, patient and talented Ellie Cunnington.
